Hunting Prohibition Order, 1998 (Amendment)
under the
Wild Life Regulations
and the
Wild Life Act

Under the authority of section 114 of the Wild Life Regulations and the Wild Life Act, I make the following Order.

        1. (1) Schedule A of the Hunting Prohibition Order, 1998 is amended by adding immediately before the provisions relating to "Codroy Valley" the following:

Carmanville Pond, Carmanville

All that area of the Island of Newfoundland bounded by a line beginning at the intersection of the Carmanville Highway and Route 330;

Then following Route 330 in a southeasterly direction to UTM co-ordinates 698,210 metres east and 5,471,910 metres north;

Then following a straight line in a southwesterly direction to UTM co-ordinates 697,640 metres east and 5,471,330 metres north;

Then following a straight line in a westerly direction to UTM co-ordinates 697,280 metres east and 5,471,370 metres north;

Then following a straight line in a northwesterly direction to UTM co-ordinates 696,790 metres east and 5,471,940 metres north;

Then following a straight line in a northerly direction to UTM co-ordinates 696,860 metres east and 5,472,950 metres north;

Then following a straight line in a northeasterly direction to the point of commencement.

             (2)  Schedule A of the Order is amended by adding immediately after the provisions relating to "Regional Pastures" the following:

Winterland

All that area of the Island of Newfoundland bounded by a line beginning at the intersection of Route 210 and route 222;

Then following Route 210 in an easterly direction to its intersection with the western shoreline of Southwest Arm;

Then following the western shoreline of Southwest Arm in a generally southerly direction to the mouth of Rush Pond Brook;

Then following the northwest bank of Rush Pond Brook in a southwesterly direction to UTM co-ordinates 632,800 metres east and 5,222,900 metres north.

Then following a straight line in a southwesterly direction to Tides Brook at UTM co-ordinates 631,600 metres east and 5,222,000 metres north;

Then following the western bank of Tides Brook in a southwesterly direction to the mouth of Juniper Brook;

Then following the northern bank of Juniper Brook in a westerly direction to its intersection with Route 222;

Then following Route 222 in a northwesterly direction to the point of commencement.
