Notice of Protected Water Supply Area
of
Gander Lake
under the
Environment Act

Under the authority of section 10 of the Environment Act, I designate the area known as Gander Lake Water Supply Area for the Towns of Gander, Glenwood and Appleton as a protected water supply area.

This area includes all lands in the Provincial Electoral Districts of Gander, Bonavista North and Exploits abutted and bounded as follows:

By a line drawn from military grid reference, Zone 21, 620,000 metres east 5,390,000 metres north, 90° 00' grid azimuth for a distance of 1,500 metres to the commencement point;

Then from the above point by a line drawn at 30° 15' grid azimuth for a distance of 8,000 metres;

Then from the above point by a line drawn at 323° 00' grid azimuth for a distance of 2,800 metres;

Then from the above point by a line drawn at 86° 30' grid azimuth for a distance of 3,500 metres;

Then from the above point by a line drawn at 16° 00' grid azimuth for a distance of 2,500 metres;

Then from the above point by a line drawn at 272° 00' grid azimuth for a distance of 3,300 metres;
