Local Service District of Moreton's Harbour
under the
Municipalities Act, 1999

Under the authority of the Municipalities Act, 1999 I make the following Order.

Local service district established

        1. The area comprising the community of Moreton's Harbour is continued as a local service district by the name of the Local Service District of Moreton's Harbour.

Boundaries

        2. The boundaries for the Local Service District of Moreton's Harbour are as set out in the Schedule.

        3. The Local Service District of Moreton's Harbour, Consolidated Newfoundland Regulation 298/96, is repealed.


Schedule

Beginning at a point on the high water mark of the southernmost extremity of Pearce Harbour in Notre Dame Bay;

Then south 9° 30' east 2,125 metres, more or less, to a point on the northern shore of Saltwater Pond;

Then south 60° 30' east 1,900 metres, more or less, to the northeasterly extremity of an unnamed pond;

Then along the sinuosities of the northern shoreline of that pond in a generally southeasterly direction, to the causeway on Route 345, and crossing the causeway, continuing in a generally northeasterly direction to the northwesterly extremity of that pond on the eastern side of Route 345;

Then north 28° 30' east 1,550 metres, more or less, to a high point;

Then north 58° 30' east 725 metres, more or less, to a high point;

Then north 40° west 700 metres, more or less, crossing Route 345, to a high point;

Then due east 450 metres, more or less, to the high water mark of the eastern shoreline of Moreton' s Harbour;

Then running in a generally westerly direction along the sinuosities of the shoreline to the point of beginning.

All bearings refer to Grid North and, as with distances given, are subject to approximation as delineated on the 1:25,000 map.
