Social Assistance Regulations (Amendment)

Social Assistance Act

Under the authority of section 30 of the Social Assistance Act, the Lieutenant-Governor in Council makes the following regulations.

        1. (1) Paragraph 6(1)(a) of the Social Assistance Regulations is repealed and the following substituted:

             (a)  a family or single benefit for food, clothing, personal care, fuel, household maintenance and utilities

2 adults	with or without dependent children	596
3 adults	with or without dependent children	692
4 adults	with or without dependent children	788

             (2)  Paragraphs 6(1)(c) and (d) of the regulations are repealed and the following substituted:

             (c)  where the landlord or landlady is not a relative, for shelter, food, clothing and personal care

2 adults	with or without dependent children	596
3 adults	with or without dependent children	692
4 adults	with or without dependent children	788

             (d)  where the landlord or landlady is a relative, for shelter, food, clothing and personal care

        2. Subsection 29(1) of the regulations is repealed and the following substituted:

Rate of remuneration

      29. (1) The rate of remuneration for members of the appeal board for meetings convened under the Act and the regulations shall be in accordance with the rates of remuneration for boards, commissions and agencies as set by the Treasury Board.
