Under the authority of section 3 of the Municipalities Act, 1999 the Lieutenant‑Governor in Council makes the following Order.

Schedule


Short title

        1. This Order may be cited as the Town of Duntara Order, 2001.

Boundaries

        2. The boundaries of the Town of Duntara are as set out in the Schedule.

Repeal

        3. The Town of Duntara Order, Consolidated Newfoundland Regulation 140/96, is repealed.


Schedule

Beginning at a point in the shoreline of Southern Head at the eastern entrance to Backside Cove;

Then running south 47° west, a distance of 2,967 meters, more or less, to a point in the center line of the main highroad, that point being approximately midway between the Towns of Duntara and Keels;

Then running south 62° west, a distance of 2,775 meters, more or less;

Then running south 2° east, a distance of 3,117 meters, more or less;

Then running north 65° east, a distance of 7,572 meters more or less to a point in the shoreline of Fishpoint Gulch on the western shoreline of Blackhead Bay;

Then running in a generally northwesterly direction along the sinuosities of the shoreline via Broad Head and Broad Cove to the point of beginning.

All bearings being referred to Grid North and, as with distances given, are subject to approximation as delineated on the 1:50000 mapping.
