Rules of the Unified Family Court (Amendment)
under the
Judicature Act
and
Unified Family Court Act

Under the authority of section 55 of the Judicature Act and section 9 of the Unified Family Court Act, the Rules Committee of the Trial Division makes the following Rules.

as amended

        1. Rule 4 of the Rules of the Unified Family Court is amended by renumbering it as rule 4(1), by deleting the phrase "in the Unified Family Court" and substituting the phrase "in the Supreme Court of Newfoundland and Labrador, Unified Family Court" and by adding immediately after that rule the following:

             (2)  All forms that contain a reference to "Newfoundland" are amended to refer to "Newfoundland and Labrador".

             (3)  All pleadings and other documents filed in the court shall, when referring to the Supreme Court of Newfoundland in the style of cause or otherwise, refer to it as "Supreme Court of Newfoundland and Labrador".
