Open Season Big Game Caribou Hunting Order,
Labrador, 2001-2002 (Amendment)
under the
Wild Life Regulations
and the
Wild Life Act

Under the authority of sections 38, 92 and 114 of the Wild Life Regulations and the Wild Life Act, I make the following order.

        1. Subsection 4(1) of the Open Season Big Game Caribou Hunting Order, Labrador, 2001-2002 is repealed and the following substituted:

Open season

        4. (1) There shall be an open season in the following zones:

Bay of Islands Zone

November 21, 2001 – April 30, 2002

Colville Lake Zone

December 10, 2001 – April 30, 2002

George River Zone

August 10, 2001 - April 30, 2002

Michikimau East Zone

December 5, 2001 – April 30, 2002

Michikimau West Zone

December 10, 2001 – April 30, 2002

Milner Lake Zone

December 18, 2001 – April 30, 2002

Orma North Zone

November 21, 2001 – April 30, 2002

Orma South Zone

December 3, 2001 – April 30, 2002

Sawbill Lake Zone

December 18, 2001 – April 30, 2002

Seal Lake Zone

November 21, 2001 – December 22, 2001

Torngat Mountain Zone

August 10, 2001 - April 30, 2002

Twin Falls Zone

        2. Section 5 of the Order is repealed and the following substituted:

Closed season

        5. There shall be a closed season in the following zones:

             (a)  Big River Zone;

             (b)  Double Mer Barrens Zone;

             (c)  Grand Lake Zone;

             (d)  Lac Virot Zone;

             (e)  McPhayden River Zone;

              (f)  Mulligan River Zone; and

             (g)  Nipishish Lake Zone.
