Traffic Control and Parking Regulations (Filed Under the authority of section 35 of the Memorial University Act, the Board of Regents makes the following regulations. Dated at W. Wayne Thistle REGULATIONS Analysis 1.

S.37 Amdt. CNLR 1123/96 1. Subsection 5(1) of the Traffic Control and Parking Regulations is repealed and the following substituted: Revision 5. (1) A revision to these regulations shall be published in the MUN Gazette, the Scoop and the Muse and shall be posted on the university and hospital notice boards. 2. Subsection 16(3) of the regulations is repealed and the following substituted: (3) Priority for the current year's permit issue shall not be applicable after May 31. 3. Section 18 of the regulations is amended by adding immediately after subsection (2) the following: (3) An administrative charge as prescribed by the board shall apply. 4. (1) Subsection 29(2) of the regulations is repealed and the following substituted: (2) Fees may be paid at the University Enforcement and Patrol Office, the Marine Institute Cashier's Office, or the Health Sciences Centre Enforcement and Patrol Office. (2) Subsection 29(7) of the regulations is repealed and the following substituted: (7) Applications for payroll deduction shall not be accepted after September 30 in the current parking year. 5. Section 29.1 of the regulations is repealed and the following substituted: Prorated permits 29.1 (1) Permits issued for the current parking year shall be valid from May 1 to April 30. (2) Permits issued after June 30 in the current parking year shall be prorated monthly. 6. (1) Subsection 34(2) of the regulations is amended by adding immediately after the number and comma "51," the number and comma "52,". (2) Subsection 34(3) of the regulations is repealed and the following substituted: (3) Where the assigned area on the parking areas 9, 9A, 9B, 9C, 9E or 9K is fully occupied, the alternative parking for valid permit holders is area 9G. (3) Subsection 34(4) of the regulations is repealed and the following substituted: (4) Where the assigned area for parking areas M1 and M2 is fully occupied, alternative parking for valid permit holders is area M11 -Marine Institute Property, Nagles Hill. 7. Section 35 of the regulations is repealed and the following substituted: After hours parking 35. Parking
areas 9, 15, 16A, and 9G are available, under normal circumstances, to a
vehicle with a valid university parking permit after 8. Subsection 36(1) of the regulations is amended by adding immediately after paragraph (b) the following: (b.1) between Wednesday 9.
