School Boards Dissolution Order
under the
Schools Act, 1997

Under the authority of section 57 of the Schools Act, 1997, the Lieutenant-Governor in Council makes the following Order.

        2.   Boards dissolved

        3.   Successor boards

        4.   Commencement


Short title

        1. This Order may be cited as the Schools Boards Dissolution Order.

Boards dissolved

        2. The school boards for school districts 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10 as defined in the Boundaries of School Districts Order are dissolved.

Successor boards

        3. The school boards for school districts 2, 3 and 4, as defined by the Boundaries of School Districts Order, 2004, are the successors in law to, and shall assume the assets, debits and liabilities of, the school boards dissolved by section 2 as follows:

             (a)  district 2 for districts 2, 3 and 4;

             (b)  district 3 for districts 5 and 6; and

             (c)  district 4 for districts 7, 8, 9 and 10.

Commencement

        4. This Order comes into force on September 1, 2004.
