School Boards' Offices Regulations
under the
Schools Act, 1997

Under the authority of section 118 of the Schools Act, 1997, the Lieutenant-Governor in Council makes the following regulations.

Short title

        1. These regulations may be cited as the Schools Boards' Offices Regulations.

Location of offices

        2. The offices of the school boards for the school districts referred to in the Boundaries of School Districts Order, 2004 shall be established in the following locations:

             (a)  District 1

                      (i)  headquarters - Happy Valley-Goose Bay, and

                     (ii)  regional education centre - Labrador City/Wabush;

             (b)  District 2

                      (i)  headquarters - Corner Brook, and

                     (ii)  regional education centres - Stephenville and Lower Cove;

             (c)  District 3

                      (i)  headquarters - Gander, and

                     (ii)  regional education centre - Grand Falls-Windsor; and

             (d)  District 4

                      (i)  headquarters - St. John's, and

                     (ii)  regional education centres - Burin, Clarenville and Spaniard's Bay.

Commencement

        3. These regulations come into force on September 1, 2004.
