Grand Falls-Windsor Municipal Planning Area, 2005
under the
Urban and Rural Planning Act, 2000

Under the authority of section 11 of the Urban and Rural Planning Act, 2000, I define the following area as the Grand Falls-Windsor Municipal Planning Area.

PLANNING AREA

Beginning at a point on the northern bank of the Exploits River 500 meters west of a small island at the mouth of Great Rattling Brook and being more particularly at a point on the Newfoundland Power transmission line 133L;

Then south 37E 30' east, along said transmission line or demarcation thereof to a point 300 metres, more or less, from the southern shoreline of the Exploits River;

Then in a southwesterly direction along a line parallel to and 300 metres from the said shoreline to a point on the western shoreline of an unnamed brook flowing into the Exploits River, said point being south 72E 03' west, 13913 metres, more or less, from the last given point;

Then in a northerly direction along the western bank of said brook to a point on the southern shoreline of the Exploits River;

Then in a northwesterly direction along the southern shoreline of the Exploits River 35 metres, more or less, to a point;

Then north 33E 07' west, 639 metres, more or less, to a point of land on the northern shoreline of the Exploits River;

Then in a southwesterly direction along the northern shoreline of the Exploits River to a point, said point being south 65E 05' west and 1130 metres, more or less from the last given point;

Then north 22E 00' east 8213 metres, more or less, to a high point;

Then north 85E 30' east 6500 metres, more or less, to a tributary of Peters River;

Then due south 4750 metres, more or less, to the Newfoundland T'Railway, Provincial Park;

Then in a northeasterly direction via the Newfoundland T'Railway, Provincial Park, to Newfoundland Power transmission line 133L;

Then south 37E 30' east along transmission line 133L 2300 metres, more or less, to the point of beginning.

All bearings refer to grid north and as with distances given are subject to approximation as delineated on the 1:50000 National Topographic Mapping 1987 edition.

Grand Falls-Windsor Municipal Planning Area, Consolidated Newfoundland and Labrador Regulation 857/96, is repealed.
