Notice of Protected Water Supply Area of
American Pond, WS-S-0363
under the
Water Resources Act

Under the authority of section 39 of the Water Resources Act, I designate the area generally known as the American Pond Water Supply Area, WS-S-0363, for the Town of Hopedale as a protected water supply area.

NOTICE

This area includes all lands in the Provincial Electoral District of Torngat Mountains abutted and bounded as follows:

Beginning at a point having scaled UTM coordinates of easting 674 640 metres and northing 6 149 398 metres;

Then running in a southerly direction for a distance of 163 metres, more or less, to a point having scaled UTM coordinates of easting 674 594 metres and northing 6 149 242 metres;

Then running in a westerly direction for a distance of 132 metres, more or less, to a point having scaled UTM coordinates of easting 674 462 metres and northing 6 149 252 metres;

Then running in a northwesterly direction for a distance of 181 metres, more or less, to a point having scaled UTM coordinates of easting 674 325 metres and northing 6 149 370 metres;

Then running in a westerly direction for a distance of 261 metres, more or less, to a point having scaled UTM coordinates of easting 674 083 metres and northing 6 149 469 metres;

Then running in a southwesterly direction for a distance of 284 metres, more or less, to a point having scaled UTM coordinates of easting 673 953 metres and northing 6 149 216 metres;

Then running in a southerly direction for a distance of 198 metres, more or less, to a point having scaled UTM coordinates of easting 673 890 metres and northing 6 149 028 metres;

Then running in a northwesterly direction for a distance of 130 metres, more or less, to a point having scaled UTM coordinates of easting 673 773 metres and northing 6 149 085 metres;

Then running in a northwesterly direction for a distance of 220 metres, more or less, to a point having scaled UTM coordinates of easting 673 677 metres and northing 6 149 283 metres;

Then running in a westerly direction for a distance of 114 metres, more or less, to a point having scaled UTM coordinates of easting 673 563 metres and northing 6 149 278 metres;

Then running in a northwesterly direction for a distance of 241 metres, more or less, to a point having scaled UTM coordinates of easting 673 449 metres and northing 6 149 490 metres;

Then running in a northerly direction for a distance of 329 metres, more or less, to a point having scaled UTM coordinates of easting 673 489 metres and northing 6 149 817 metres;

Then running in a southeasterly direction for a distance of 103 metres, more or less, to a point having scaled UTM coordinates of easting 673 575 metres and northing 6 149 761 metres;

Then running in a easterly direction for a distance of 214 metres, more or less, to a point having scaled UTM coordinates of easting 673 789 metres and northing 6 149 779 metres;

Then running in a southeasterly direction for a distance of 227 metres, more or less, to a point having scaled UTM coordinates of easting 673 953 metres and northing 6 149 622 metres;

Then running in a northeasterly direction for a distance of 512 metres, more or less, to a point having scaled UTM coordinates of easting 674 374 metres and northing 6 149 914 metres;

Then running in a northeasterly direction for a distance of 121 metres, more or less, to a point having scaled UTM coordinates of easting 674 475 metres and northing 6 149 980 metres;

Then running in a southerly direction for a distance of 331 metres, more or less, to a point having scaled UTM coordinates of easting 674 523 metres and northing 6 149 653 metres;

Then running in a southeasterly direction for a distance of 183 metres, more or less, to a point having scaled UTM coordinates of easting 674 639 metres and northing 6 149 512 metres;

Then running in a southerly direction for a distance of 114 metres, more or less, to the point of commencement.

All coordinates refer Zone 20 of the NAD 83 Universal Transverse Mercator Projection.
