Open Season Big Game Caribou Hunting Order,
Labrador, 2005-2006 (Amendment)
under the
Wild Life Regulations
and the
Wild Life Act

Under the authority of sections 38, 92 and 114 of the Wild Life Regulations and the Wild Life Act, I make the following Order.

        1. Subsection 4(1) of the Open Season Big Game Caribou Hunting Order, Labrador, 2005-2006 is repealed and the following substituted:

Open season

        4. (1) There shall be an open season in the following zones during the dates specified:

 

Seal Lake Zone	December 19, 2005 - April 30, 2006
Michikimau East Zone	November 18, 2005 - April 30, 2006
Orma North Zone	November 18, 2005 - April 30, 2006
Orma South Zone	November 22, 2005 - April 30, 2006
Twin Falls Zone	January 27, 2006 - April 30, 2006
George River Zone	August 10, 2005 - April 30, 2006
Torngat Mountain Zone	August 10, 2005 - April 30, 2006
Colville Lake Zone	January 27, 2006 - April 30, 2006
Mickikamau West Zone	January 27, 2006 - April 30, 2006
Nipishish Lake Zone	December 19, 2005 - April 30, 2006
Orma South Adjunct Zone	December 17, 2005 - December 24, 2005

 

        2. Section 5 of the Order is repealed and the following substituted:

Closed season

        5. There shall be a closed season in the following zones:

             (a)  Big River Zone.

             (b)  Double Mer Barrens Zone;

             (c)  Lac Virot Zone;

             (d)  Sawbill Lake Zone;

             (e)  Bay of Islands Zone;

              (f)  Grand Lake Zone;

             (g)  McPhayden River Zone;

             (h)  Milner Lake Zone; and

              (i)  Muilligan River Zone.

 

        3. The Schedule to the Order is amended by adding immediately after the description of "Mulligan River" the following:

              (t)  Orma South Adjunct Zone

All that area commencing at the Metchin River outlet on an unnamed lake located at 53° 36' 4.9" north latitude and 62° 55' 41" west longitude;

Then following a straight line in a southerly direction to the west abutment of East Wilson River Bridge;

Then following the north bank of the East Wilson River in a westerly direction to its intersection with Main Wilson River;

Then following the north bank of Main Wilson River to its junction with West Metchin River; and

Then following the west bank of the East Metchin River north to the point of commencement.
