Lobbyist Registration Exemption Regulations
under the
Lobbyist Registration Act
(O.C. 2007-143)

Under the authority of paragraph 4(1)(q) of the Lobbyist Registration Act, the Lieutenant-Governor in Council makes the following regulations.

Short title

        1. These regulations may be cited as the Lobbyist Registration Exemption Regulations.

Non-application of Act

        2. In addition to the persons referred to in subsection 4(1) of the Act, the Act does not apply to the following persons when acting in their official capacity:

             (a)  an officer, director or employee of the Memorial University of Newfoundland; and

             (b)  an officer, trustee or employee of a school board elected or appointed under the Schools Act, 1997.
