Hopedale Alcohol Committee Regulations (Amendment)
under the
Liquor Control Act

Under the authority of section 133 of the Liquor Control Act, the Lieutenant-Governor in Council makes the following regulations.

NLR 27/06

        1. (1) Section 2 of the Hopedale Alcohol Committee Regulations is amended by adding immediately after paragraph (b) the following:

          (b.1)  "community" means a community as defined in the Act but for the purpose of these regulations is limited to the Inuit Community of Hopedale;

             (2)  Paragraph 2(c) of the regulations is repealed and the following substituted:

             (c)  "council" means a council as defined in the Act but for the purpose of these regulations is limited to the Inuit Community Council of the Inuit Community of Hopedale;

             (3)  Paragraph 2(d) of the regulations is repealed.

             (4)  Paragraph 2(e) of the regulations is amended by deleting the word "municipality" and substituting the word "community".

 

        2. (1) Subsection 3(1) of the regulations is amended by deleting the word "municipality" and substituting the word "community".

             (2)  Subsection 3(2) of the regulations is amended by deleting the word "municipality" and substituting the word "community".

 

        3. Paragraph 14(d) of the regulations is amended by deleting the word "municipality" wherever it appears and substituting the word "community".

 

        4. Section 17 of the regulations is amended by deleting the word "municipality" and substituting the word "community".
