General Election Deferral Order, 2010
under the
Municipal Elections Act

Under the authority of subsection 5(3) of the Municipal Elections Act, I make the following Order.

ORDER

Analysis

        1.    Short title

        2.   General elections deferred

        3.   Repeal

 Short title

        1. This Order may be cited as the General Election Deferral Order, 2010.

General elections deferred

        2. The 2009 municipal general elections are further deferred until September 28, 2010 for the following:

             (a)  the Town of Fogo;

             (b)  the Town of Tilting;

             (c)  the Town of Joe Batt's Arm;

             (d)  the Town of Seldom-Little Seldom; and

             (e)  the Fogo Island Regional Council.

Repeal

        3. The General Election Deferral Order, Newfoundland and Labrador Regulation 71/09, is repealed.
