        1. (1) Paragraph 2(c) of the Mineral Regulations is repealed.

             (2)  Paragraph 2(f) of the regulations is amended by striking out the words "a ground staked licence or".

             (3)  Paragraphs 2(g), (h), (p) and (q) of the regulations are repealed.

 

        2. Section 4 of the regulations is repealed.

 

        3. Section 5 of the regulations is repealed.

 

        4. Subsection 11(3) of the regulations is repealed and the following substituted:

             (3)  Where a licensee is granted an extension under Condition 2 of the Conditions of Licence, in order to complete the assessment work for the first year of the licence, for reasons other than those set out in Condition 2(4) of the Conditions of Licence, the deposit referred to in subparagraph 8(b)(ii) shall be refunded to the licensee.

          (3.1)  Where a licensee is granted an extension under Condition 2 of the Conditions of Licence, in order to complete the assessment work for the first year of the licence, for the reasons set out in Condition 2(4) of the Conditions of Licence, the deposit referred to in subparagraph 8(b)(ii) shall not be refunded to the licensee until all the assessment work required to be done for the first year of the licence is completed.

 

        5. The regulations are amended by repealing Part II.

 

        6. (1) Section 36 of the regulations is amended by striking out the words "ground or" wherever they occur.

             (2)  Subsection 36(1) of the regulations is amended by striking out the words "units or".

             (3)  Subsection 36(3) of the regulations is amended by striking out the words "ground and".

 

        7. Section 37 of the regulations is amended by striking out the words "a ground staked or".

 

        8. Subsection 38(4) of the regulations is repealed.

 

        9. Subsection 39(1) of the regulations is amended by striking out the words "a ground staked licence or".

 

      10. (1) Subsection 47(1) of the regulations is amended by striking out the words "a ground staked licence or" and the words "unit or" wherever they occur.

             (2)  Subsection 47(2) of the regulations is amended by striking out the words "or units' wherever they occur.
