Victims of Crime Services Information Regulations
under the
Victims of Crime Services Act

Under the authority of section 15 of the Victims of Crime Services Act, I make the following regulations.

Short title

††††††† 1. These regulations may be cited as the Victims of Crime Services Information Regulations.

Information about adults

††††††† 2. A peace officer shall provide the following information in his or her possession about an adult victim to the Victims of Crime Services Division as soon as possible after obtaining it:

†††††††††††† (a)the victim's name;

†††††††††††† (b)the victim's age;

†††††††††††† (c)the victim's address and telephone number;

†††††††††††† (d)a brief description of the crime alleged to have been committed against the victim;

†††††††††††† (e)the charge, if laid; and

††††††††††††† (f)the victim's relation to the accused.

Information about children

††††††† 3. In matters where a charge has been laid, a peace officer shall provide the following information in his or her possession about a child victim to the Victims of Crime Services Division as soon as possible after obtaining it:

†††††††††††† (a)the victim's name;

†††††††††††† (b)the victim's age;

†††††††††††† (c)the victim's parentís name or the name of his or her guardian;

†††††††††††† (d)the address and telephone number of the parent or guardian of the victim;

†††††††††††† (e)a brief description of the crime alleged to have been committed against the victim and the charge; and

††††††††††††† (f)the victim's relation to the accused.
