Provincial Park Proclamation (Amendment)

under the
Provincial Parks Act

Under the authority of subsection 4(2) of the Provincial Parks Act, I make the following Order.

        1. The Newfoundland and Labrador T'Railway Provincial Park Proclamation is amended by adding at the end of the Schedule the following:

The area described in this Schedule is decreased by removing the following parcels of land:

All those pieces or parcels of land located between the Town of Channel – Port aux Basques and a point in the centerline of the Newfoundland and Labrador T'Railway Provincial Park coincident with the eastern sideline limit of Kenmount Road right of way, more particularly described as 361,866 metres east, 5,265,763 metres north, and including all right of way lands, in the Province of Newfoundland and Labrador, described and delineated at the Registry of Crown Titles in Special Plans 18 to 20, 22, 23, 25 to 28, 34 to 40, 42 to 61 and 65, abutted and bounded as follows, that is to say:

All those pieces or parcels of land outside a Newfoundland and Labrador T'Railway Provincial Park boundary width of 15.24 metres in total, more particularly described as 7.62 metres on each side of the centreline, more or less;

Reserving and excepting out of the above described pieces or parcels of land, however, all those pieces and parcels of land lawfully alienated from the Crown, including all those pieces and parcels of land subject to leases to the Town of Conception Bay South and the Town of Channel – Port aux Basques, more particularly described as:

1. Lease to the Town of Conception Bay South

All those pieces or parcels of land situate and being in the Town of Conception Bay South in the Province of Newfoundland and Labrador, in the Electoral Districts of Topsail – Paradise, Conception Bay South and Harbour Main, abutted and bounded as follows, that is to say:

Beginning at a point on the centerline of the Newfoundland and Labrador T'Railway Provincial Park approximately 160 metres northeast  of its intersection with Spruce Hill Road having coordinates east 355,137 metres, north 5,265,340 metres, more or less;

Then along the centerline of the Newfoundland and Labrador T'Railway Provincial Park, and including all right of way lands, in a general southwesterly direction for a distance of 14.75 kilometres ending at a point near Lance Cove Pond having coordinates east 344,158 metres, north 5,260,186 metres, as delineated at the Registry of Crown Titles in Special Plans 18 and 19, more or less; and,

2. Lease to the Town of Channel – Port Aux Basques

All that piece or parcel of land situate and being in the Town of Channel – Port aux Basques in the Province of Newfoundland and Labrador, in the electoral district of Burgeo – La Poile, within the limits of the Newfoundland and Labrador T'Railway Provincial Park as delineated on Special Plan 61 at the Registry of Crown Titles, that is to say:

Beginning at the southern end of Grand Bay Bridge and heading in a general south-easterly direction until abutment with Grand Bay Road, a centerline distance of approximately 286 metres, more or less.

All bearings and coordinates referenced to the Meridian of 51o west longitude of the Six Degree Universal Transverse Mercator Projection, Zone 22, NAD 83 for the Province of Newfoundland and Labrador.
