Under the authority of section 3 of the Regional Service Boards Act, 2012, the Lieutenant-Governor in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Environment, makes the following Order.

Analysis


        1.   Short title

        2.   Creation of region

        3.   Establishment of board


Short title

        1. This Order may be cited as the Baie Verte Peninsula – Green Bay Regional Service Board Order.

Creation of region

        2. The towns, local service districts and unincorporated areas of the Island of Newfoundland situated on and near the Baie Verte Peninsula, including lands on both sides of the Trans Canada Highway and including Triton to the east, Sheffield Lake to the south, Purbeck's Cove to the west, Fleur de Lys to the north and La Scie to the northeast, are constituted as a region with the name of the Baie Verte Peninsula – Green Bay Region.

Establishment of board

        3. The Baie Verte Peninsula – Green Bay Regional Service Board is established for the region with the purpose of providing regional services in accordance with the Act.
