Carrier Safety Regulations (Amendment) under the Highway TrafficAct

Under the authority of section 197 of the Highway Traffic Act, I make the following
regulations.

1.(1) The Schedule to the Carrier Safety Regulations is amended by
deleting the reference to paragraphs 253(a) and (b) and subsection 254(05) of
the Criminal Code, the descriptions
of the offences and the compliance indicators under those paragraphs of the Criminal Code and substituting the
following:

Operation or care or control of motor
vehicle while impaired by alcohol or drugs
253(1)(b)

Operation or care or control of motor
vehicle with more than 80 milligrams of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood

Blood drug concentration equal to or
over concentration prescribed by regulation within 2 hours after ceasing to
operate or have care or control of motor vehicle

Blood drug concentration equal to or
over concentration prescribed by regulation and less than concentration

(2)The Schedule to the regulations is amended by
adding immediately after the row beginning with a reference to subsection 255(2)
of the Criminal Code the following:

combined equal to or over concentration prescribed by regulation causing bodily

(3)The Schedule to the regulations is amended by
adding immediately after the row beginning with a reference to subsection
