Income and Employment Support Regulations (Amendment)

Income and Employment Support Act

Under the authority of section 52 of the Income and Employment Support Act, the Lieutenant-Governor in Council makes the following regulations.

        1. Paragraph 8(a) of the Income and Employment Support Regulations is amended by deleting the word "or" at the end of subparagraph (xiv), deleting the semi-colon at the end of subparagraph (xv) and substituting a comma and by adding immediately after that subparagraph the following:

                 (xvi)  a payment under the federal Memorial Grant Program for First Responders, or

                (xvii)  a payment received from the estate of a first responder where the estate has received a grant under the federal Memorial Grant Program for First Responders, but only the amount by which the payment from the estate exceeds the amount that the applicant or recipient would have received if the estate had not received a grant from the Memorial Grant Program for First Responders;

Commencement

        2. These regulations are considered to have come into force on April 1, 2018.
