Public Pools Regulations (Amendment)
under the
Health and Community Services Act

Under the authority of section 11 of the Health and Community Services Act, I make the following regulations.

        1. Paragraph 3(1)(a) of the Public Pools Regulations is amended by deleting the words “he or she” and substituting the words “the minister”.

 

        2. Paragraph 8(m) of the regulations is repealed and the following substituted:

           (m)  the entrance and exit to the deck surrounding the pool shall be

                      (i)  located at that portion of the deck adjacent to the shallowest end of the pool, or

                     (ii)  equipped with safety measures that are in compliance with industry standards;

 

        3. (1) Subsection 16(7) of the regulations is amended by deleting the words “he or she” and substituting the words “the lifeguard or assistant lifeguard”.

             (2)  Paragraph 16(14)(a) of the regulations is amended by deleting the words “his or her” and substituting the words “the person’s”.
