Off-road Vehicle Operation in the T'Railway Provincial Park Prohibition Order (Amendment)
under the
Provincial Parks Regulations
and
Provincial Parks Act

        1. The Off-road Vehicle Operation in the T'Railway Provincial Park Prohibition Order is amended by adding immediately after section 2 the following:

Prohibition when fire weather index high, very high or extreme

        3. (1) The use of off-road vehicles in the Newfoundland and Labrador T'Railway Provincial Park is prohibited when the fire weather index is high, very high or extreme.

             (2)  Notwithstanding subsection (1), for the purposes of exiting the Newfoundland and Labrador T'Railway Provincial Park, a person may, on or before 11:59 on August 15, 2025, operate an off-road vehicle in the Newfoundland and Labrador T'Railway Provincial Park when the fire weather index is high, very high or extreme where

             (a)  the person is in the Newfoundland and Labrador T'Railway Provincial Park on the coming into force of this section; and

             (b)  the operation of an off-road vehicle is required for the person to exit the Newfoundland and Labrador T'Railway Provincial Park.

             (3)  This section does not apply to officers or authorized park employees in the course of their duties.         

             (4)  This section is repealed at 11:59 p.m. on August 17, 2025.
