Special Election for the Town of New-Wes-Valley Order
under the
Municipal Elections Act

Under the authority of section 7 of the Municipal Elections Act, I make the following Order.

ORDER

Analysis

        1.   Short title

        2.   Special election

        3.   Returning officer

        4.   Alternate returning officer

Short title

        1. This Order may be cited as the Special Election for the Town of New-Wes-Valley Order.

Special election

        2. A special election shall be held in the Town of New-Wes-Valley on October 28, 2025 to elect

             (a)  one councillor for Ward 1;

             (b)  one councillor for Ward 2; and

             (c)  5 councillors at large.

Returning officer

        3. Angela Pomeroy is appointed as the returning officer for the purpose of conducting the election referred to in section 2.

Alternate returning officer

        4. Michelle Kelly is appointed as the alternate returning officer.
