Town of Appleton Order
under the
Municipalities Act
(O.C. 96‑170)

Under the authority of section 3 of the Municipalities Act and the Subordinate Legislation Revision and Consolidation Act, the Lieutenant‑Governor in Council makes the following Order.

Schedule


Short title

        1. This Order may be cited as the Town of Appleton Order.

Boundaries

        2. The boundaries of the Town of Appleton are as set out in the Schedule.

Repeal

        3. Newfoundland Regulation 672/78 is repealed.


Schedule

Beginning at a point on the centre line of the western face of the east abutment of the highway bridge spanning the Gander River between Glenwood and Appleton;

Then running in a generally northerly direction along the east shoreline of the Gander River 650 metres, more or less;

Then south 83° 00' east 1,450 metres, more or less;

Then south 6° 00' west 4,700 metres, more or less, to the northern bank of an unknown river;

Then in a general westerly direction along the northern bank of the river to the eastern shoreline of The Outflow ‑ Gander River;

Then in a northerly direction along the eastern shoreline of The Outflow ‑ Gander River to the point of beginning.

All bearings refer to grid north and as with distances given are subject to approximation as delineated on the 1:50,000 National Topographic Mapping 2E/2 and 2D/15, edition 3.
