Under the authority of section 3 of the Municipalities Act and the Subordinate Legislation Revision and Consolidation Act, the Lieutenant‑Governor in Council makes the following Order.

Schedule


Short title

        1. This Order may be cited as the Town of Badgers Quay ‑ Valleyfield ‑ Pools Island ‑ Wesleyville ‑ Newtown Order.

Boundaries

        2. The boundaries of the Town of Badgers QuayValleyfieldPools Island ‑ Wesleyville ‑ Newtown are as set out in the Schedule.

Repeal

        3. Newfoundland Regulation 214/91 is repealed.


Schedule

Beginning at a point on the highwater mark of the easternmost extremity of Loo Cove Point;

Then south 82° 30' west 7,900 metres, more or less, to the height of land;

Then north 26° 00' west 9,600 metres, more or less, to a point on the centre line of an abandoned road leading to Pound Cove;

Then in an easterly direction along the centre line of the road to its intersection with the road to Valleyfield, Route 320‑36;

Then north 35° 00' east 9,425 metres, more or less, to the height of land;

Then north 88° 00' east 6,500 metres, more or less, to a point on the highwater mark of Cape Cove, that point being where an unnamed stream flows into the northern end of Cape Cove, Cape Freels;

Then in a general southerly direction following the sinuosities of the western shoreline of Bonavista Bay, passing Newtown, Wesleyville, Pools Island, Valleyfield to Loo Cove Point, to the point of beginning.

All bearings herein refer to grid north and as with distances and bearings given are subject to approximation as delineated on the 1:50,000 National Topographic Mapping.
