Consolidated Newfoundland Regulation 1996 CONSOLIDATED Town
of Burnt Under the authority of section 3 of the Municipalities Act and the Subordinate Legislation Revision and Consolidation Act, the Lieutenant‑Governor in Council makes the following Order. ORDER Analysis 1. Short title 2. Boundaries 3. Repeal Schedule Short title 1. This Order may be cited as the Town of Burnt Islands Order. Boundaries 2. The boundaries of the Town of Burnt Islands are as set out in the Schedule. Repeal 3. Schedule Beginning at a point in the southeast corner of Otter Bay Provincial Park and then running north 25° east a distance of 3,500 metres, more or less, to a point in the centre line of Burnt Island Brook; Then running due east a distance of 2,275 metres, more or less, to a point in the western bank of Grandy's Brook; Then running in a generally southwesterly direction along that bank to Grandy Sound; Then running in a generally southwesterly direction along the sinuosities of the western shoreline of Grandy Sound to the most southern point of the Community of Burnt Islands; Then running in a generally northerly
direction along the eastern shoreline of Then running in a generally westerly
direction along the southern shoreline of the causeway to a point in the
eastern shoreline of Then running along the sinuosities of
the eastern, western and northern shorelines of Then running in a generally easterly
direction along the northern shoreline of the causeway to a point in the
eastern shoreline of Then running in a generally
northeasterly direction along the eastern shoreline to the most northerly point
of Then running in a generally southwesterly direction along the western shoreline of God Bay to a point being north a distance of 450 metres, more or less, to the most northern point of the Hat Rocks; Then running north a distance of 1,825 metres, more or less, to the point of beginning. 704/78 ©Earl G.
