Town of Catalina Order
under the
Municipalities Act
(O.C. 96-170)

Under the authority of section 3 of the Municipalities Act and the Subordinate Legislation Revision and Consolidation Act, the Lieutenant‑Governor in Council makes the following Order.

Schedule


Short title

        1. This Order may be cited as the Town of Catalina Order.

Boundaries

        2. The boundaries of the Town of Catalina are as set out in the Schedule.

Repeal

        3. Newfoundland Regulation 598/78 is repealed.


Schedule

Beginning at Snelgrove Point on the northern side of the entrance to Port Union Harbour and then running north 33° west 600 metres and then north 56° west 250 metres to a point at the intersection of the centre line of the brook flowing into Sutton's Pond and the centre line of the old railway right‑of‑way extending from Catalina to Port Union;

Then north 28° west 1,075 metres to a point on the road extending from Catalina to King's Cove distant 400 metres in a westerly direction from the bridge spanning the brook flowing out of Lookout Pond;

Then north 27° east 2,125 metres to the northernmost angle of Lookout Long Pond;

Then south 82° east 1,550 metres to the easternmost angle of Nolan Pond;

Then south 3° east 2,175 metres to Shepherd Point;

Then in a straight line in a southwesterly direction to Goodland Point and then in a straight line in a southwesterly direction to the point of beginning.
