Town of Chapel Arm Order
under the
Municipalities Act
(O.C. 96-170)

Under the authority of section 3 of the Municipalities Act and the Subordinate Legislation Revision and Consolidation Act, the Lieutenant‑Governor in Council makes the following Order.

ORDER

Schedule


Short title

        1. This Order may be cited as the Town of Chapel Arm Order.

Boundaries

        2. The boundaries of the Town of Chapel Arm are as set out in the Schedule.

Repeal

        3. Newfoundland Regulation 603/78 is repealed.


Schedule

Beginning at a point in the western shoreline of Chapel Arm, UTM co‑ordinates 990682, 2,600 metres east of a point located between two unnamed pools on Murphy's Cove Brook;

Then running west 2,600 metres, more or less, to a point on the western bank of Murphy's Cove Brook;

Then running in a generally southwesterly direction along the western bank of Murphy's Cove Brook to a point on the bank located north 400 metres, more or less, to the centre line of the Trans Canada Highway;

Then running in a generally southeasterly direction parallel to and at a distance of 400 metres, more or less, north of the centre line of the Trans Canada Highway to a point in the centre line of the old gravel access road to Chapel Arm;

Then running north 1,525 metres, more or less;

Then running north 28° west 5,800 metres, more or less, to a point in the southern angle of Sooley's Cove;

Then running in a generally southwesterly direction along the sinuosities of the eastern shoreline of Chapel Arm to its most southerly point;

Then running in a generally northerly direction along the sinuosities of the western shoreline of Chapel Arm to the point of beginning.

All bearings being referred to the true meridian.
