CONSOLIDATED NEWFOUNDLAND REGULATION 136/96

Town of Cottlesville Order
under the
Municipalities Act
(O.C. 96‑170)

Under the authority of section 3 of the Municipalities Act and the Subordinate Legislation Revision and Consolidation Act, the Lieutenant‑Governor in Council makes the following Order.

Schedule


Short title

        1. This Order may be cited as the Town of Cottlesville Order.

Boundaries

        2. The boundaries of the Town of Cottlesville are as set out in the Schedule.

Repeal

        3. Newfoundland Regulations 613/78 and 221/80 are repealed.


Schedule

Beginning at a point in the northern shoreline of Summerford Arm, known locally as Reddett's Head;

Then running north a distance of 1,925 metres, more or less, to a point in the centre line of the main highroad connecting Cottle's Island and Summerford;

Then turning and running along the Summerford boundary north 69° east a distance of 600 metres, more or less, to the most southerly point of Rushy Cove Pond;

Then running in a generally northwesterly direction along the eastern shoreline of Rushy Cove Pond and continuing along the eastern bank of Rushy Cove River to a point where the river empties into Rushy Cove;

Then running in generally westerly, southerly and easterly directions along the sinuosities of the shorelines of Luke's Arm, Cottle's Bay, Intricate Harbour, Farmer Head and the northern shoreline of Summerford Arm to the point of beginning.

All bearings being referred to the true meridian.
