Town of Dover Order
under the
Municipalities Act
(O.C. 96-170)

Under the authority of section 3 of the Municipalities Act and the Subordinate Legislation Revision and Consolidation Act, the Lieutenant‑Governor in Council makes the following Order.

Schedule


Short title

        1. This Order may be cited as the Town of Dover Order.

Boundaries

        2. The boundaries of the Town of Dover are as set out in the Schedule.

Repeal

        3. Newfoundland Regulation 857/78 is repealed.


Schedule

Beginning at a point on the northeast boundary of Hare Bay, that point being midway between the United Church and Anglican Church cemeteries, in the centre line of the south access road to Dover;

Then running south 30° east a distance of 825 metres, more or less, to a point in the northern shoreline of Hare Bay;

Then running east along the northern shoreline of Hare Bay and north along the western shoreline of Shoal Bay to the most western point in Butler's Cove;

Then running in a generally northeasterly, westerly and northwesterly direction along the sinuosities of the shoreline of the headland jutting into Lockers Bay to a point in the centre of the bridge spanning the mouth of the brook which empties into the northwest arm of Lockers Bay;

Then running in a generally southeasterly direction along the centre line of the main highway to a point located a distance of 150 metres, more or less, south of the centre line of the north access road to Dover;

Then running south 30° east a distance of 300 metres, more or less, to the point of beginning.

All bearings being referred to the true meridian.
