Town of Elliston Order
under the
Municipalities Act
(O.C. 96-170)

Under the authority of section 3 of the Municipalities Act and the Subordinate Legislation Revision and Consolidation Act, the Lieutenant‑Governor in Council makes the following Order.

Schedule


Short title

        1. This Order may be cited as the Town of Elliston Order.

Boundaries

        2. The boundaries of the Town of Elliston are as set out in the Schedule.

Repeal

        3. Newfoundland Regulation 592/78 is repealed.


Schedule

Beginning at a point in the northernmost angle of a small pond located on the Burnt Ridge;

Then running north 14° 30' west a distance of 2,775 metres, more or less, to a point on the centre line of the main highroad to Elliston;

Then running north 76° 30' east a distance of 3,850 metres, more or less, to a point at highwater mark on the western shoreline of Trinity Bay;

Then running in a generally southerly direction along the sinuosities of the shoreline to Elliston Cove, Elliston Point and Maberly to a point at highwater mark on the western shoreline of Trinity Bay, that point being located 975 metres south of the most easterly point of South Bird Island;

Then running north 88° west a distance of 4,425 metres, more or less, to the point of beginning.

All bearings refer to grid north.
