Town of Embree Order
under the
Municipalities Act
(O.C. 96-170)

Under the authority of section 3 of the Municipalities Act and the Subordinate Legislation Revision and Consolidation Act, the Lieutenant‑Governor in Council makes the following Order.

Schedule


Short title

        1. This Order may be cited as the Town of Embree Order.

Boundaries

        2. The boundaries of the Town of Embree are as set out in the Schedule.

Repeal

        3. Newfoundland Regulations 593/78 and 17/94 are repealed.


Schedule

Beginning at a point at highwater mark in the western shoreline of Burnt Bay known as Wigwam Point;

Then running south 68° 30' west a distance of 3,000 metres, more or less;

Then running north 25° west a distance of 3,450 metres, more or less, to a point on the eastern shoreline of St. John's Bay;

Then in a generally northerly direction following the shoreline of St. John's Bay to a point at highwater mark at Burley's Cove Head;

Then in a generally northeasterly direction, crossing the peninsula, a distance of 2,250 metres, more or less, to a point at highwater mark at Little Faukes Dock;

Then in a generally easterly and northerly direction following the shoreline of Little Burnt Bay to Shoal Tickle Point;

Then in a generally southerly direction following the sinuosities of the shoreline of Burnt Bay via Barrow Cove, Powderhouse Cove, Masons Cove, Salt Pond Cove and Jobs Cove to Wigwam Point, the point of beginning.

All bearings being referred to true north and as with distances given are subject to approximation as delineated on the 1:50,000 National Topographic Mapping.
