CONSOLIDATED NEWFOUNDLAND REGULATION 169/96

Local Service District of Freshwater
under the
Municipalities Act
(O.C. 96‑170)

Under the authority of the Municipalities Act and the Subordinate Legislation Revision and Consolidation Act, the Lieutenant‑Governor in Council makes the following Order.

Schedule


District continued

        1. The area comprising the community of Freshwater is continued as a local service district by the name of the Local Service District of Freshwater.

Boundaries

        2. The boundaries for the local service district are as set out in the Schedule.

Repeal

        3. Newfoundland Regulations 177/84 and 124/85 are repealed.


Schedule

Beginning at a point on the highwater mark of Conception Bay North, that point being on the northeastern extremity of the Carbonear municipal boundary;

Then in a westerly direction along that boundary to a point, that point being the centre line of a road locally known as Lily Pond Road;

Then in a northwesterly direction a distance of 1,200 metres, more or less, to a point, that point being the intersection of the eastern right‑of‑way of Route 70 with the Carbonear ‑ Victoria municipal planning area boundary;

Then in a northeasterly direction along that boundary to a point, that point being the highwater mark at the easternmost extremity of Salmon Cove Head;

Then in a southwesterly direction along the sinuosities of the shoreline at highwater mark passing Folly Rocks, Clowns Cove, Freshwater Cove to the point of beginning.

All bearings being referred to grid north.
