Community of Gallants Order
under the
Municipalities Act

Under the authority of section 257 of the Municipalities Act and the Subordinate Legislation Revision and Consolidation Act, the Lieutenant‑Governor in Council makes the following Order.

ORDER

Schedule

Short title

        1. This Order may be cited as the Community of Gallants Order.

Boundaries

        2. The boundaries of the Community of Gallants are as set out in the Schedule.

Repeal

        3. Newfoundland Regulations 659/78 and 202/91 are repealed.

Schedule

Beginning at a point, that point being a height of land southeast of the Community of Gallants having co‑ordinates north 5 394 475 metres and east 410 650 metres;

Then south 78° 30' west a distance of 3,400 metres, more or less, to a high point having co‑ordinates north 5 393 800 metres and east 407 320 metres;

Then north 8° 30' east a distance of 2,825 metres, more or less, to a high point having co‑ordinates north 5 396 575 metres and east 407 750 metres;

Then north 86° 30' east a distance of 1,700 metres, more or less, to a high point having co‑ordinates north 5 396 700 metres and east 409 425 metres;

Then south 29° 00' east a distance of 2,525 metres to a high point, that point being the point of beginning.

All bearings herein refer to grid north and as with distances and co‑ordinates given are subject to approximation as delineated on the 1:50,000 National Topographic Mapping.
