Town of Grand Falls - Windsor Order
under the
Municipalities Act
(O.C. 96-170)

Under the authority of section 3 of the Municipalities Act and the Subordinate Legislation Revision and Consolidation Act, the Lieutenant‑Governor in Council makes the following Order.

Short title

        1. This Order may be cited as the Town of Grand Falls ‑ Windsor Order.

Boundaries

        2. The boundaries of the Town of Grand FallsWindsor are as set out in the Schedule.

Repeal

        3. Newfoundland Regulation 243/90 is repealed.


Schedule

Beginning at a position on the northern bank of the Exploits River 500 metres west of a small island at the mouth of Great Rattling Brook and being more particularly at the crossing of transmission line 133L;

Then running generally southwestwardly and westwardly along the northern bank of the Exploits River to the Trans Canada Highway;

Then north 22° 00' east a distance of 7,125 metres, more or less, to a high point;

Then north 85° 30' east a distance of 6,500 metres, more or less, to a tributary of Peter's River;

Then due south a distance of 4,750 metres, more or less, to the Canadian National Railway right‑of‑way;

Then running northeastward via that right‑of‑way to transmission line 133L;

Then south 37° 30' east along transmission line 133L a distance of 2,300 metres, more or less, to the place of beginning.

All bearings refer to grid north and as with distances given are subject to approximation as delineated on the 1:50,000 National Topographic Mapping, 1987 edition.
