Town of Howley Order
under the
Municipalities Act
(O.C. 96-170)

Under the authority of section 3 of the Municipalities Act and the Subordinate Legislation Revision and Consolidation Act, the Lieutenant‑Governor in Council makes the following Order.

ORDER

Schedule


Short title

        1. This Order may be cited as the Town of Howley Order.

Boundaries

        2. The boundaries of the Town of Howley are as set out in the Schedule.

Repeal

        3. Newfoundland Regulation 887/78 is repealed.


Schedule

Beginning at a point on the eastern shoreline of Grand Lake where the shoreline intersects the power transmission line near the entrance to the main brook;

Then running east 5,175 metres, more or less, to a point on the centre line of the Canadian National Railway;

Then running south 4,425 metres, more or less, to a point on the power transmission line;

Then running west 6,250 metres, more or less, to a point on the eastern shoreline of Grand Lake;

Then running in a generally northerly direction along the sinuosities of the eastern shoreline of Grand Lake to the point of beginning.

All bearings being referred to the true meridian.
