Town of Kippens Order
under the
Municipalities Act
(O.C. 96‑170)

Under the authority of section 3 of the Municipalities Act and the Subordinate Legislation Revision and Consolidation Act, the Lieutenant‑Governor in Council makes the following Order.

ORDER

Schedule

Short title

        1. This Order may be cited as the Town of Kippens Order.

Boundaries

        2. The boundaries of the Town of Kippens are as set out in the Schedule.

Repeal

        3. Newfoundland Regulation 584/78 is repealed.

Schedule

Beginning at the mouth of Gadon's Brook and following that brook to a power transmission line and then along that line to the northeastern end of Island Pond;

Then running north 1,800 metres, more or less;

Then running west 2,000 metres, more or less, to Romaines Brook and following that brook to the coast;

Then following the coastline of St. George's Bay to the mouth of Gadon's Brook, the place of beginning.

All bearings being referred to UTM grid and as with distances given are subject to approximation as delineated on the 1:50,000 mapping.
