Community of Lourdes Order
under the
Municipalities Act

Under the authority of section 257 of the Municipalities Act and the Subordinate Legislation Revision and Consolidation Act, the Lieutenant‑Governor in Council makes the following Order.

ORDER

Analysis

Short title

1. This Order may be cited as the Community of Lourdes Order.

Boundaries

2. The boundaries of the Community of Lourdes are as set out in the Schedule.

Repeal

3. Newfoundland Regulation 716/78 is repealed.

Schedule

Beginning at a point situated southeast of the bridge which carries Route 463 over Lourdes Brook, that point being the eastern junction of a by‑road, locally known as West Bay Hill, with a curved section of Route 463;

Then running north 35° east 1,375 metres, more or less, to a point on the crest of a ridge, that point bearing north 5° east from a side road bridge over Lourdes Brook;

Then running north 5° east 1,825 metres, more or less, to the Gulf of St. Lawrence;

Then following the gulf coastline in a generally southwesterly direction by way of Clam Bank Cove a distance of approximately 3,700 metres to Red Point;

Then proceeding along the beach a distance of approximately 2,725 metres to a point of departure from the coastline;

Then running south 37° east 600 metres, more or less, to the western end of a small pond situated near a mountain range locally known as "Round Head Ridge";

Then along the foot of "Round Head Ridge" by way of the southern side of the small pond running north 78° east 1,725 metres, more or less;

Then running due east 2,125 metres, more or less;

Then running north 35° east 150 metres, more or less, to the point of commencement.

All bearings being referred to the true meridian and along with distances given are subject to approximation as taken from the 1:50,000 National Topographic Map, 1972/73 edition.
