Town of Lawn Order
under the
Municipalities Act
(O.C. 96-170)

Under the authority of section 3 of the Municipalities Act and the Subordinate Legislation Revision and Consolidation Act, the Lieutenant‑Governor in Council makes the following Order.

ORDER

Schedule


Short title

        1. This Order may be cited as the Town of Lawn Order.

Boundaries

        2. The boundaries of the Town of Lawn are as set out in the Schedule.

Repeal

        3. Newfoundland Regulation 709/78 is repealed.


Schedule

Beginning at the junction point of 2 old highroads leading to Lawn and then running south 22° west 2,700 metres to "East Head" at the eastern entrance to Great Lawn Harbour;

Then running in a generally northerly direction along the eastern shoreline of Great Lawn Harbour to the south side of the bridge spanning Northeast Arm;

Then running along the north shoreline of the harbour to the south side of the bridge spanning Northwest Arm;

Then running along the western shoreline of Great Lawn Harbour in a generally southerly direction to the mouth of a small brook;

Then running along the centre line of the brook in a generally westerly direction 450 metres;

Then running north 9° east 1,500 metres to a point on Lawn Brook;

Then running south 64° east 1,150 metres to a point at the centre of the main dam on East Lawn Brook;

Then running south 24° east 1,350 metres to the point of beginning.

All bearings being referred to the true meridian.
