Town of Lewisporte Order
under the
Municipalities Act
(O.C. 96-170)

Under the authority of section 3 of the Municipalities Act and the Subordinate Legislation Revision and Consolidation Act, the Lieutenant‑Governor in Council makes the following Order.

ORDER

Schedule


Short title

        1. This Order may be cited as the Town of Lewisporte Order.

Boundaries

        2. The boundaries of the Town of Lewisporte are as set out in the Schedule.

Repeal

        3. Newfoundland Regulation 711/78 is repealed.


Schedule

Beginning on the shore at Wigwam Point at the western entrance to Burnt Bay;

Then running south 68° 30' west 6,800 metres, more or less;

Then south 10° east 6,000 metres, more or less;

Then east 3,600 metres, more or less;

Then north 30° east 9,600 metres, more or less;

Then west 2,000 metres, more or less, to a point forming the southern entrance to Emily Cove;

Then following the shoreline of Burnt Bay around Lewisporte Harbour to the place of beginning at Wigwam Point.

All bearings being referred to the true meridian.
