Community of Melrose Order
under the
Municipalities Act
(O.C. 96-170)

Under the authority of section 257 of the Municipalities Act and the Subordinate Legislation Revision and Consolidation Act, the Lieutenant‑Governor in Council makes the following Order.

ORDER

Schedule


Short title

        1. This Order may be cited as the Community of Melrose Order.

Boundaries

        2. The boundaries of the Community of Melrose are as set out in the Schedule.

Repeal

        3. Newfoundland Regulation 740/78 is repealed.


Schedule

Beginning at a point, that point being located at the highwater mark of Copper Head, Trinity Bay;

Then south 84° west a distance of 2,375 metres, more or less, to a point where a river flows from the southernmost extremity of an unnamed pond;

Then south 17° 30' west a distance of 1,975 metres, more or less, to a point being the summit of an unnamed hill 325 metres south of the centre line of Trinity Road, Route 230;

Then south 85° east a distance of 2,175 metres, more or less, to a point, that point being located at the highwater mark on Peaches Cove;

Then in a generally northwesterly direction following the sinuosities of the shoreline to the point of commencement.

All bearings being referred to the true meridian.
