Town of Norris Arm Order
under the
Municipalities Act
(O.C. 96-170)

Under the authority of section 3 of the Municipalities Act and the Subordinate Legislation Revision and Consolidation Act, the Lieutenant‑Governor in Council makes the following Order.

ORDER

Schedule


Short title

        1. This Order may be cited as the Town of Norris Arm Order.

Boundaries

        2. The boundaries of the Town of Norris Arm are as set out in the Schedule.

Repeal

        3. Newfoundland Regulation 749/78 is repealed.


Schedule

Beginning at a point at highwater mark in the southern shoreline of Norris Arm at the mouth of Rattling Brook where that brook empties into the Bay of Exploits;

Then running in a generally southerly direction along the eastern bank of Rattling Brook to its point of intersection with the Trans Canada Highway;

Then turning and running south 45° east 2,750 metres, more or less;

Then turning and running north 47° east 11,430 metres, more or less;

Then turning and running north 45° west 3,810 metres, more or less, to a point in the southern shoreline of Norris Arm;

Then turning and running at highwater mark in a generally southwesterly direction along the southern shoreline of Norris Arm to the point of beginning.

All bearings being referred to the true meridian.
