Community of Port Kirwan Order
under the
Municipalities Act
(O.C. 96-170)

Under the authority of section 257 of the Municipalities Act and the Subordinate Legislation Revision and Consolidation Act, the Lieutenant‑Governor in Council makes the following Order.

ORDER

Schedule


Short title

        1. This Order may be cited as the Community of Port Kirwan Order.

Boundaries

        2. The boundaries of the Community of Port Kirwan are as set out in the Schedule.

Repeal

        3. Newfoundland Regulation 783/78 is repealed.


Schedule

Beginning at a point in the northern limit of the main highroad leading from Fermeuse to Port Kirwan, that point being the intersection of the centre line of the Ferry Road and the limit of the main highroad;

Then running south a distance of 400 metres, more or less, to a point on the northern shoreline of Fermeuse Harbour;

Then running in a generally southeasterly direction along the sinuosities of the shoreline to the most southerly point of Northern Head at the northern entrance to Fermeuse Harbour;

Then running in a generally northerly direction along the sinuosities of the shoreline via Clear Cove, Bald Head, Chance Bay and Black Head to the most western point in the shoreline of Lawler Bay;

Then running west a distance of 3,050 metres, more or less;

Then running south 26° west a distance of 925 metres, more or less, to a point in the centre line of the Ferry Road;

Then running in a generally southeasterly direction along the centre line of the Ferry Road to the point of beginning.

All bearings being referred to the true meridian.
