Consolidated Newfoundland Regulation 1996 CONSOLIDATED Community
of Port au Port East Order Under the authority of section 257 of the Municipalities Act and the Subordinate Legislation Revision and Consolidation Act, the Lieutenant‑Governor in Council makes the following Order. ORDER Analysis 1. Short title 2. Boundaries 3. Repeal Schedule Short title 1. This Order may be cited as the Community of Port au Port East Order. Boundaries 2. The boundaries of the Community of Port au Port East are as set out in the Schedule. Repeal 3. Newfoundland Regulations 686/78, 66/79 and 278/86 are repealed. Schedule Beginning at a point in the most northeastern angle of Gravel's Pond and then crossing the main highway in a northerly direction to a point in the southern shoreline of the east bay of Port au Port Bay; Then running in a generally
northeasterly direction along the eastern shoreline of Port au Then running in a generally southeasterly direction along the centre line of Smelt Brook a distance of 2,125 metres, more or less; Then running due east a distance of 2,900 metres, more or less, to a point on the eastern bank of Romaines Brook; Then running in a generally
southwesterly direction along the eastern bank of Romaines Brook to a point
where that bank intersects the northern shoreline of Then crossing the mouth of the Romaines
Brook and running in a generally westerly direction along the northern
shoreline of Then running due north a distance of 50 metres, more or less, across the Isthmus to a point in the southern shoreline of Gravel's Pond; Then running in a generally northeasterly direction along the shoreline to the point of beginning.
