Town of St. Brendan's Order
under the
Municipalities Act
(O.C. 96-170)

Under the authority of section 257 of the Municipalities Act, and the Subordinate Legislation Revision and Consolidation Act, the Lieutenant Governor in Council makes the following Order.

Schedule


Short title

        1. This Order may be cited as the Town of St. Brendan's Order.

Boundaries

        2. The boundaries of the Town of St. Brendan's are as set out in the Schedule.

Repeal

        3. Newfoundland Regulation 825/78 is repealed.


Schedule

Beginning at a point on the high water mark of the western shoreline of Cottel Island, that point being the northwestern extremity of an unnamed cove approximately 950 metres, more or less, southwest of Haircut Point in Cottel Reach;

Then in a southwesterly direction along the sinuosities of the shoreline to a point on the southern shoreline of that cove;

Then in a southwesterly direction 4,740 metres, more or less, to a point on the western extremity of Penny's Cove;

Then in a southwesterly direction 550 metres, more or less, to a point on the high water mark of the northeastern shoreline of an unnamed cove on the eastern shoreline of Cottel Island in Willis Reach;

Then in a northeasterly and northwesterly direction along the sinuosities of the shoreline passing Shalloway Cove, Dock Cove, Haywards Cove, St. Brendan's to Haircut Point;

Then in a southwesterly direction to the point of beginning.

All bearings refer to Grid North and, as with distances given, are subject to approximation as delineated on the 1:50000 National Topographic mapping.
