Community of Sandy Cove Order
under the
Municipalities Act
(O.C. 96-170)

Under the authority of section 257 of the Municipalities Act and the Subordinate Legislation Revision and Consolidation Act, the Lieutenant‑Governor in Council makes the following Order.

ORDER

Schedule

Short title

        1. This Order may be cited as the Community of Sandy Cove Order.

Boundaries

        2. The boundaries of the Community of Sandy Cove are as set out in the Schedule.

Repeal

        3. Newfoundland Regulation 834/78 is repealed.

Schedule

Beginning at a point located on the easternmost tip of Sandy Cove Point on the northern shore of Newman Sound, Bonavista Bay;

Then running in a generally westerly direction along the shore 325 metres;

Then running north 17° west 1,450 metres to the southern limit of the road from Sandy Cove to Eastport;

Then running due east along the southern limit of the road 150 metres;

Then running due north 150 metres;

Then running north 65° east 3,550 metres;

Then running south 71° east 3,300 metres, more or less, to the southwest shoreline of Scotts Tickle;

Then running in a generally southwesterly direction along the northern shoreline of Newman Sound to the point of commencement.

All bearings being referred to the true meridian.
