Community of Savage Cove - Sandy Cove Order

Municipalities Act

Under the authority of section 257 of the Municipalities Act and the Subordinate Legislation Revision and Consolidation Act, the Lieutenant‑Governor in Council makes the following Order.

ORDER

Analysis

Short title

1. This Order may be cited as the Community of Savage Cove ‑ Sandy Cove Order.

Boundaries

2. The boundaries of the Community of Savage Cove ‑ Sandy Cove are as set out in the Schedule.

Repeal

3. Newfoundland Regulation 214/94 is repealed.

Schedule

Beginning at a point on the eastern shoreline of Strait of Belle Isle southwest of Cooper Island, that point bearing north 45° west from horizontal control monument 44000, that monument having UTM co‑ordinates north 5 685 950, east 519 150;

Then south 45° east a distance of 2,100 metres;

Then north 45° east a distance of 4,000 metres;

Then north 45° west to a point on the eastern shoreline of the Strait of Belle Isle;

Then following the sinuosities of the shoreline in a generally southwesterly direction to the point of commencement.

All bearings herein refer to grid north and as with distances given are subject to approximation as delineated on the 1:50,000 National Topographic Mapping, edition 2.
