Town of St. Lawrence Order
under the
Municipalities Act
(O.C. 96-170)

Under the authority of section 3 of the Municipalities Act and the Subordinate Legislation Revision and Consolidation Act, the Lieutenant‑Governor in Council makes the following Order.

Schedule


Short title

        1. This Order may be cited as the Town of St. Lawrence Order.

Boundaries

        2. The boundaries of the Town of St. Lawrence are as set out in the Schedule.

Repeal

        3. Newfoundland Regulation 807/78 is repealed.


Schedule

Beginning at a point, that point being the northern extremity of an unnamed pond that empties into Long Pond, grid reference 186992 (NTS 1 L/14);

Then running due east a distance of 4,900 metres, more or less, to a point on the western bank of St. Lawrence River;

Then in a generally southeasterly direction following the meanders of the bank of the river and the sinuosities of the shoreline of the western shore of Little St. Lawrence Harbour to the most southern extremity of Middle Head;

Then following the sinuosities of the shoreline in a generally northwesterly direction to a point, that point being located at highwater mark at the innermost penetration of the sea into Herring Cove;

Then in a generally southwesterly direction to a point at highwater mark located at the most eastern extremity of Blue Beach Point;

Then following the sinuosities of the shoreline in a generally southeasterly direction to a point at highwater mark located at the most eastern extremity of Cape Chapeau Rouge;

Then following the sinuosities of the shoreline in a generally southerly direction to a point at highwater mark located at the most southern extremity of Ferryland Head;

Then following the sinuosities of the shoreline in a generally westerly direction to a point on the eastern bank of the mouth of Pinnacle Brook where it flows into the sea;

Then in a generally northerly direction a distance of 6,550 metres, more or less, to the point of commencement.

All directions being referred to the true meridian.
